In, Out, All About in July

On July 10th, Luci Hough attended a luncheon in McDonough hosted by the Taylor Family Foundation, the giving organization of Bennett International Group, to benefit Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. The Taylor Foundation supports our Center through its granting program and our Spring to Life Gala as sponsors. Luci is shown with Lynette Mathis, Vice President of Bennett International Group and member of the Taylor family.

On July 17th, Loren Williams, Community Relations Coordinator, and Amy Kane, Clothes Closet Coordinator, went to Midwest Food Bank for our monthly pick-up and received lots of items we are able to share with the moms, dads, and babies we serve.

On July 24th, 8 moms graduated from our parenting class and earned brand new cribs and mattresses for their new babies!  We used a new curriculum for the July class, Raising Kingdom Kids by Dr. Tony Evans and the feedback was great. One of the moms said the most significant things she learned in this class was “just how intentional you have to be about Christ-Centered parenting. It has to be something you continually think about, pray about, and act on.”  The class was facilitated by volunteer Holli Redlich.

On July 31st, three young women from Harp’s Crossing Baptist Church came by for a tour and to learn about the Center and the services we offer to our community.
