The Answers You Need
If your period is late, and you’re not feeling like yourself, you may be pregnant. Don’t worry and wonder about being pregnant. A missed period is the most common symptom, but it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re pregnant. Come to Fayette PRC and find out for sure.
Common Early Pregnancy Symptoms
Are you experiencing any of these symptoms?
- Late period
- Nausea or vomiting
- Appetite change
- Swollen/Tender breasts
- Frequent urination
- Weight gain/loss
- Unusual fatigue
- Dizziness
- Headache
- Food cravings or aversions
Some women experience every symptom immediately, while others don’t experience any in their early weeks. Each pregnancy is unique, just like each woman.
Other health reasons may cause these symptoms as well. Being nauseous is a sign of the flu, and the frequent need to urinate could signify a urinary tract infection. Your monthly cycle can also change because of stress, excessive weight gain or loss, certain medications, and/or a hormone issue.
Free Pregnancy Testing
Fayette PRC can provide you with no-cost, medical-grade pregnancy testing. The accuracy of our pregnancy tests is 99% or greater. Contact us today to schedule an appointment.
What If the Test Is Positive?
If you get a positive result from a test, it’s time to get an ultrasound exam. We offer limited obstetrical ultrasounds* at no cost to you. Ultrasound confirms if you have a viable (growing) pregnancy, or you’ve already had a miscarriage. It also will rule out an ectopic pregnancy, which is especially important to know if you are considering an abortion.
In addition, one of our nurses will provide information on pregnancy and precautions new mothers should take. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions, discuss your pregnancy, and learn about your options.
Completely Confidential
All of your test results and our conversations are kept strictly confidential (as allowable by law). We promise to provide a non-judgmental, safe place to discuss your concerns and future plans. We’re here for you.
